El papel de profeta sigue confundiéndose entre el de un adivino y el del portavoz de Dios. Mucha gente piensa equivocadamente que un profeta es alguien que de alguna manera sabe lo que sucederá en el futuro. La gente piensa que los astrólogos o los que escriben horóscopos son profetas, porque a veces aciertan en sus predicciones.

More often God allowed things to happen in order to test our faith in Him. Some of the trials or challenges we face are the tests of faith. How we face those trials reflect how strong our faith is. “DO NOT BE AFRAID, JUST HAVE FAITH”, these are the words of Jesus to Jairus, a synagogue official whose daughter just passed away.

Last Sundays gospel talks about Jesus the Vine and we are the branches. A branch that isn't connected to the vine will die. This Sunday, Jesus is calling us again to be connected to the vine by remaining in his love. He said, “If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love”.
