Vigésimo Octavo Domingo del Tiempo Ordinario / Twenty-Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time

“La medicina ha alargado el tiempo del hombre. ¿Pero de verdad tenemos tiempo? ¿O nos tiene el tiempo a nosotros? La mayoría, en todo caso, no tiene tiempo para Dios, necesita su tiempo para sí, para sus 'negocios'…” (Benedicto XVI).

“Este misterio de comunión bienaventurada con Dios y con todos los que están en Cristo sobrepasa toda comprensión y toda representación. La Escritura nos habla de ella en imágenes: vida, luz, paz, banquete de bodas, vino del reino, la casa del Padre, Jerusalén celestial, paraíso: 'Lo que ni el ojo vio, ni el oído oyó, ni al corazón del hombre llegó, lo que Dios preparó para los que le aman' (1Cor 2,9)” (Catecismo de la Iglesia Católica, # 1027).

“Los vestidos de fiesta son los preceptos del Señor y las obras cumplidas según la Ley y el Evangelio que son las vestiduras del hombre nuevo. Es decir, las obras de la caridad con las que se debe acompañar a la fe” (San Jerónimo).

“Medicine has extended man's time. But do we really have time? Or does time have us? Most, in any case, do not have time for God, they need their time for themselves, for their 'business'” (Benedict XVI).

“This mystery of blessed communion with God and all who are in Christ is beyond all understanding and description. Scripture speaks of it in images: life, light, peace, wedding feast, wine of the kingdom, the Father's house, the heavenly Jerusalem, paradise: 'no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man conceived, what God has prepared for those who love him (1Cor 2:9)'" (Catechism of the Catholic Church, # 1027).
