Presentation of the Lord / Presentación del Señor
Today we celebrate the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord to recall the time when Jesus according to the Jewish tradition was presented to the temple as prescribed by the law of Moses. Sometimes i Heard stories about children being offered to God by their Parents. It's a great act of faith, after all life is an offering to God. As Jesus was offered and consecrated himself to the Father's will, let also offer ourselves in the service of God to praise him in many different ways. It is always worth offering our life to God after all Jesus offered his life for us. In this journey and uncertainties of life, it is worth entrusting our life, our work, our families, our loved ones, our endeavors to God. Offering our life is putting our trust to God's loving and caring hands. I believe nothing happens by coincidence when we put our life in God's guiding hands. Offer your life by serving God thru others. Today, the church also observes “World Day for Consecrated Life” to remember those who consecrated their life to God and also to pray for more vocations to religious life. Let us continue praying that God will send more vocations to the priesthood and religious life. God bless your life as an offering to God.Amen!
Hoy celebramos la Fiesta de la Presentación del Señor para recordar el momento en que Jesús, según la tradición judía, fue presentado en el templo como prescribía la ley de Moisés. A veces he oído historias de niños que son ofrecidos a Dios por sus padres. Es un gran acto de fe, después de toda la vida es una ofrenda a Dios. Como Jesús se ofreció y se consagró a la voluntad del Padre, ofrezcámonos también nosotros al servicio de Dios para alabarle de muchas maneras diferentes. Siempre vale la pena ofrecer nuestra vida a Dios, después de todo Jesús ofreció su vida por nosotros. En este viaje e incertidumbres de la vida, vale la pena confiar nuestra vida, nuestro trabajo, nuestras familias, nuestros seres queridos, nuestros esfuerzos a Dios. Ofrecer nuestra vida es poner nuestra confianza en las manos amorosas y solícitas de Dios. Creo que nada ocurre por casualidad cuando ponemos nuestra vida en las manos que nos guían. Ofrece tu vida sirviendo a Dios a través de los demás. Hoy, la Iglesia celebra también la “Jornada Mundial de la Vida Consagrada” para recordar a quienes consagraron su vida a Dios y también para rezar por más vocaciones a la vida religiosa. Sigamos rezando para que Dios envíe más vocaciones al sacerdocio y a la vida religiosa. Que Dios bendiga tu vida como ofrenda a Dios. ¡Amén!
