Pastor’s Message - Fr. Luis Navarro

“I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth” (Mt. 11: 25) for having chosen me as Pastor of Saint George Parish. I want to thank my parishioners for the great hospitality and welcome.

I was born in 1979, in Leon Guanajuato, Mexico. I am the second oldest of seven siblings. In 1994, I entered the Seminary. I graduated from St. Patrick's Seminary and University, in Menlo Park, CA. I received the Sacrament of Holy Orders on July 12, 2008. In 2012, I obtained a Licentiate in Canon Law from The Catholic University of America, Washington, DC.

For a decade, I was in residence at the Cathedral of the Annunciation and I was the Judicial Vicar for the Diocese of Stockton. As the Prophet Zachariah, I “rejoice heartily” with this new appointment as I feel called to serve the people of God at All Saints Academy of Stockton and St. George Parish. "Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will" (Mt. 11: 26). Pray for me as I pray for you.

"Te alabo, Padre, Señor del cielo y de la tierra" (Mt. 11, 25) por haberme elegido como párroco de la parroquia de San Jorge. Quiero agradecer a mis feligreses su gran hospitalidad y bienvenida.

Nací en 1979, en León Guanajuato, México. Soy el segundo mayor de siete hermanos. En 1994 ingresé al Seminario. Me gradué del Seminario y Universidad de San Patricio, en Menlo Park, CA. Recibí el Sacramento del de las Sagradas Ordenes el 12 de julio del 2008. En el 2012, obtuve la Licenciatura en Derecho Canónico en la Universidad Católica de América, Washington, DC.

Por una década, vivi en la Catedral de la Anunciación y fui el Vicario Judicial de la Diócesis de Stockton. Como el Profeta Zacarías, me "allegro sobremanera" con este nuevo nombramiento y me siento llamado a servir al pueblo de Dios en la Academia de Todos los Santos de Stockton y en la Parroquia de San Jorge. "Sí, Padre, tal ha sido tu misericordiosa voluntad" (Mt. 11: 26).
