Parable of the Talents / Parábola de los Talentos
Happy Sunday everyone! I pray that God continuously showers his grace on you and your loved ones. Jesus in today's parable reminds us of the “talents” or gifts entrusted to us. God entrusted us with many gifts to take care like the life we had. At the same tine he entrusted us the gift of faith to nourish and flourish. How do we make our faith grow the way God wanted us to be? The Eucharist is the core and summit of our faith that we need to renew our commitment, that’s why we Catholics go to mass on Sundays. But we need to remind ourselves, that in attending the Mass, we are to be what we celebrate– to be the real presence of Jesus Christ for others and for the world. This is our mission. Just as bread and wine were transformed into the Body and Blood of Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit, we are to bring the Real presence of Jesus to the world thru our lives. Just as bread and wine were taken, blessed, broken and given, so we promise to allow Christ to take us, bless us, break us and give us the world hungry for Christ’s love and healing. Let the celebration of the Mass transform us into what God created us to be. Amen!
¡Feliz domingo a todos! Rezo para que Dios derrame continuamente su gracia sobre ti y tus seres queridos. En la parábola de hoy, Jesús nos recuerda los "talentos" o dones que se nos han confiado. Dios nos confió muchos dones para cuidar como la vida que teníamos. Al mismo tiempo, nos confió el don de la fe para que lo alimentemos y florezca. ¿Cómo hacemos crecer nuestra fe como Dios quiere? La Eucaristía es el núcleo y la cumbre de nuestra fe que necesitamos para renovar nuestro compromiso, por eso los católicos vamos a misa los domingos. Pero necesitamos recordarnos a nosotros mismos, que al asistir a la misa, debemos ser lo que celebramos- ser la presencia real de Jesucristo para los demás y para el mundo. Esta es nuestra misión. Así como el pan y el vino se transformaron en el Cuerpo y la Sangre de Cristo por el poder del Espíritu Santo, debemos llevar la presencia real de Jesús al mundo a través de nuestras vidas. Así como el pan y el vino fueron tomados, bendecidos, partidos y entregados, así prometemos permitir que Cristo nos tome, nos bendiga, nos parta y nos entregue al mundo hambriento del amor y la sanación de Cristo. Que la celebración de la Misa nos transforme en lo que Dios nos creó para ser. Amén.
