Primer Domingo de Adviento / First Sunday of Advent

“Hoy, en este Domingo, comenzando el Tiempo de Adviento, inauguramos a la vez un nuevo año litúrgico. La venida de Dios es el gran acontecimiento. Dispongámonos a acogerlo con devoción: "¡Ven Señor Jesús".

"La Iglesia, especialmente durante los tiempos de Adviento, Cuaresma y sobre todo en la noche de Pascua, relee y revive todos estos acontecimientos de la historia de la salvación en el 'hoy' de su Liturgia" (Catecismo de la Iglesia Católica, nº 1.095)

El Adviento es para aprender a esperar con paz y con amor, al Señor que viene.

"Today, on this Sunday, when we are just entering the Season of Advent, we are also starting a new liturgical year. We can use this status as an invitation to refurbish some aspects of our life (spiritual, family, etc.). The coming of God is the great event. Let us prepare to welcome Him with devotion: 'Lord Jesus, Come!'"
